If you use coco butter for the body, will that keep your tan lasting longer....?

Im going to the beach this year for 10 days, whenever im out of the sun and return to the UK my tan fades, how can i keep it.. And why is it that my body is really dark from years back of going to the beach and my face is fair? How can I tan my face?
